Bulk SMS service

A practical starting point for businesses evaluating SMS communications. Begin with the account and use-case details needed for an assisted setup.

Start with the messages you need to send

Bulk SMS can support time-sensitive updates, one-time passcodes and promotional communication. Before choosing a provider or preparing a campaign, define who will receive each message, what action it supports and how consent and opt-outs will be handled.

MessageIQ currently helps prepare a business account for assisted activation. This site does not send SMS messages, issue delivery reports or activate a live messaging connection. Create an account to begin the setup conversation; an operational sending service is not included in this release.

Choose the right SMS path

Promotional campaigns have different planning and consent needs from service notifications. A one-time passcode flow has different content, security and delivery requirements again. Review the intended use before selecting a route:

Prepare useful account details

Have your registered business name, website, expected message purpose and a realistic volume range ready. If sender headers, message templates or other operator requirements apply to your use case, confirm the current process with the relevant provider and official guidance. Requirements can change, so this page is not legal or regulatory advice.

Once the account is created and verified, the next step is an assisted review of what is available and what documentation may be needed. Activation is not instant and no send console is available here.

A clear, honest first step

MessageIQ separates account preparation from service activation. You can prepare an account and review the current pricing information without assuming that a campaign, integration or delivery service is already active.

Frequently asked questions

Can I send a bulk SMS campaign from this site now?

No. MessageIQ account preparation is available, but message sending and campaign management are not part of this release.

What should I prepare before requesting SMS setup?

Prepare your business details, website, message use case and an estimated volume range. Any sender or template requirements should be confirmed against current provider and official guidance.

Is activation automatic after registration?

No. Service activation is assisted and may require a separate review. Creating an account does not switch on an SMS service.

Build your SMS brief with TechTo Networks

The parent company’s SMS guides cover campaign delivery, scheduling, contact groups, personalisation, Unicode content and application integrations. Use these topics to define what your business needs before activation.

01

Choose the workflow

Separate campaigns from customer-event updates and authentication. Identify the audience, message purpose, expected volume and the system that starts each message.

02

Prepare content and business identity

Collect the business identity, sender-header and registered-template details needed by the authorized provider. Plan personalised fields and regional-language text against the approved template rather than treating a spreadsheet as permission to send.

03

Discuss the delivery arrangement

TechTo Networks describes web, HTTP, XML and SMPP workflows. Discuss the appropriate option and reporting requirements with the team; this MessageIQ website does not expose a sending interface.

TRAI regulations and the DLT checklist

For bulk business SMS in India, prepare against TCCCPR, 2018, its applicable amendments and your access provider’s Code of Practice. TRAI’s sender guidance includes OTP, transactional, service and commercial messages in its bulk-communication registration checklist.

REVIEWED 9 OCTOBER 2026

  1. Principal Entity registration

Register the business or legal entity as a Principal Entity (PE) on the telecom provider’s Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) platform. Keep sender and registration details current.

  2. Registered headers and templates

Obtain the appropriate sender header and register the content template. When submitting SMS for delivery, pass the PE ID, registered header and content/template ID through the provider’s supported process.

  3. Consent, preferences and opt-outs

Register consent templates and acquire consent where applicable. Respect the recipient’s registered preferences, valid consent and revocation under the relevant category. Purchased or publicly available contact details are not evidence of permission.

  4. Message classification and validation

Classify by actual purpose and content—not a marketing label. The 2025 amendment treats promotional material mixed into a transactional or service message as promotional. Confirm approved variable tags and applicable URL, OTT/APK-link and callback-number whitelisting before submitting traffic.

  5. Handle unwanted-communication complaints

Recipients can complain or report unwanted commercial communication through their telecom provider, including SMS or calls to 1909 and approved app/portal channels. Keep a practical process for opt-outs, revoked consent and complaints; check current official procedures rather than assuming an old deadline applies.

General preparation guidance, not legal advice, a compliance determination or a claim of TRAI approval. Confirm current requirements with your telecom provider and qualified advisers. MessageIQ currently provides account preparation for assisted activation—not message sending, DLT validation or regulatory certification.
